“From Neurons to Nations: learning to embody a spacious, wise and engaged relationship to ourselves, others and the world!”
A residency is a place where we learn to live well and wisely with ourselves, others and in the world. We practice with our inner and relational reactivity so that we can learn to respond appropriately instead. We get to cook, work and play with a diverse group of people coming from many countries. We will be practicing all sorts of awareness practies (mindfulness, compassion, movement, art, diary), engage in small-group circles where we focus on the way in which our present moment embodied experience is affected by the speech and presence of others, and community sessions where we explore emergent questions about our society, its greatness and the urgent challenges to address change. We will create as safe a container as possible to enable the emergence of embodied regulation, relational insights and embody an ambitious relationship to the world.
We emphasise learning & integrating: we will have propose several ways to learn the art and science of developing inner and relational resiliency through workshops and didactic sessions. The immersion format allows for insights from structured experiential sessions to be integrated in relationships during the residency itself. The online sessions before and after we meet in Bergerac (France) allow for integration into one’s work, family and daily life because we want this process to impact your life in the long term! The residency includes time and space for you to continue your daily personal work and projects (up to 30-35 hours/week).
“It was amazing. In many ways, very joyful, very playful, meaningful interactions, whether it was in groups or dyads”
– Camille M., Researcher, 2023 Residency Participant in Bergerac
The quality of our relationships has recently shown to be an important factor for mental health. In school we did not learn how to build strong relationships, how to repair a connection when a rupture occurred, or how to express our needs for safety and emotional support. This residency aims to strengthen our way of engaging in relationships (towards secure attachment patterns) so that we can feel freer to be ourselves with others, and build strong bonds with others and the world. 3 Steps are proposed:
Regulate: We will learn to self-regulate & co-regulate, which means we learn to support one another to feel better together. We learn to feel better somatically (in our body), emotionally (feeling well-being) and socially (feeling more embedded with others). We embody a responsive, not reactive, connexion to ourselves and others.
Restore: From this sense of connection, safety and confidence, our patterns of disconnection from others, and dysregulation and dissociation from our own bodies (related to previous traumas) can soften and be released.
Respond: As we grow our nervous system capacity and relational abilities, we have more space, agency and possibility for new ways of engaging with the world.
The conceptual framework for group sessions stems of psychodynamic and attachment theories as well as systems, somatic, social and positive psychology to support relational resiliency. We emphasize “neuroceptive safety” which means we specifically attempt to modulate the containment of the group to skilfully face the challenges emerging, and embody the resources developed. For example, we start with a short embodiment practice at the beginning of the session to prime for somatic sensitivity and speaking from a place of experience. As the group builds in its quality of compassion, mutual support and enjoyment, it become a womb-like experience which enables a deep nervous system regulation for the group as a whole. Joining us in this residency, you benefit by:
Sensing and caring for the different states of your nervous system (self-regulation)
Find out how you are impacted by others in an embodied way (co-regulation), and liberate yourself from constricting relational habits
Being able to express yourself more authentically with others (perspective-taking), understand and appreciate others’ point of view (empathy)
Learning the basic processes of creating safe-group spaces and group interventions (facilitation)
Inquiring skilfully, in an embodied way, into difficult questions we are facing today as a society and as a species
Awareness Practices: One of the most important ways to become resilient and increase our ability to cope with challenges is to learn self-regulation. We will be practicing evidence-based practices such as mindfulness, compassion, somatic orientation, tai-chi, yoga and keeping a short daily diary.
Workshops: Here we will practice basic embodiment and relational skills, incuding some nervous system and positive psychology practices of orientation, enjoyment, active listening, perspectival essentials, self- and co-regulation.
Buddy sessions: Every participant will be paired with another residency participant to have a daily chat about how things are going. This is an opportunity to explore joys and challenges in the residency, as well as practicing some of the relational skills you are wishing to learn.
Resiliency Circles (RC): These are the core practices in the residency, where we form groups of 6-8 participants with 2 professional facilitators, and we focus on the present moment emergence of our inner experience as we engage with others in the group. We get to feel news ways of relating to ourself, relating to others and strengthen our ability to be securely attached, which means that we can stay in connection with others whatever we are experiencing inside.
RC’s will have a didactic emphasis, where facilitators share the basics of how we create safe-enough group facilitation spaces and the group gradually learns to run with its facilitators.
Meta-Circles (MC): In these sessions we meet as a whole community and explore the relevant themes, joys and challenges that are coming up in the residency, and in our societies. It’s an opportunity to feel into a larger group process of collective affect and social intelligence, regulate the comunity, and also have some time in the smaller RC group to integrate these experiences.
Open Spaces: There will be a daily opportunity to propose skills that you would like to offer to the comunity, sing, dance and have fun! These sessions allow us to meet, enjoy and learn from one another without the professional facilitators, and self-organize as a community.
Collective Care: We will spend about 1h to care for the beautiful house every day. Everyone will choose one small duty and collectively we will enjoy living in clean and cared for spaces.
Personal Sessions: Facilitators are professionally trained in somatic regulation with many years of experience and you can benefit from their support by requesting 1h 1:1 sessions. These sessions will help you to integrate challenges you may be going through, emotions emerging as a result of interactions in the residency or general behaviour patterns which cause suffering. These are paid in addition to the residency fee (€100/hour) and you can have as many as the schedule allows for.
As you can see, we will have any opportunities to practice becoming weller and wiser 🙂 We will also allow for plenty of time for integration of these experiences and see how they can be transferred in our daily lives for long-term benefit.

Research
This residency is part of research programme, and we will be asking you if you would like to participation in our study. If you’re interested, we will ask your permission to use your data (anonymimized with pseudonyms) that will be collected throughout the residency. This data will include pre-residency questionnaires and input from your electronic diary entries. This is a preparatory project for a research programme led by Boaz Feldman at Harvard University, in collaboration with Marc Santolini, PhD. Since this residency is led by Boaz from NeuroSystemics, there is a conflict of interest. It provides funding to the study by receiving compensation from participants to the RER program to cover the rent of the residency location and the modest facilitator salaries. The PI of this project, Marc Santolini, does not have any ties to Neurosystemics and does not directly benefit from any positive result from this study, which moderates the conflict of interest. We THANK YOU very much for your help making science more personalized and helpful to build resiliency for all beings.

Diğer eğitimlerle karşılaştırıldığında CARE’i ÖZGÜN yapan nedir?
3. Bireyci klinik uygulamanın ötesinde: İyileşmeye yönelik bireysel yaklaşımlara çok fazla vurgu yapılıyor, bu da başkaları olmadan yeterince güçlü olmamız gerektiğini ima ediyor. James Hillman’ın “We’ve Had a Hundred Years of Psychotherapy and the World’s Getting Worse” adlı kitabı, terapinin nasıl tamamen bireyci olduğunu ve toplumsal kültürün etkisini küçümsediğini anlatıyor.

5 Kasım’dan sonra kayıt olmak isteyenlerin CMP’nin Sense Layer (His Katmanı) bölümünü tamamlamış olmaları gerekmektedir.

Resiliency Circles
NeuroSystemicsTM is a community-based methodology bridging ancient wisdom traditions, evolutionary neurosciences and systemic understanding to offer an integrative path to resilient healing, passionate living and awakening.
Resiliency Circles (RC) offer a unique environment to experience a safe, enjoyable and educational relational space. Trained professionals hold a compassionate and sensitive attitude to include all the parts of everyone present – orienting towards unconditional acceptance and appreciation. As the process unfolds, the RC’s therefore open the door to a palpable sense of peace, intimacy and connection with one another. As the group builds trust and learns to feel strong while sometimes showing vulnerability, the potential for healing, resiliency and awakening is exponential!
The purpose of an RC is primarily for individuals to experience and integrate a sense of belonging through their nervous system; the group work involves a psychotherapeutic process by including the missing and often alienated aspects of our being through the safe container held by the therapists and the quality of interaction between group members.
Practically, after a short introduction from the therapists, group members are invited to share freely whatever is on their mind/heart and there begins the free association conversation and spontaneous sharing. Each person manifests themselves differently, and the RC enables group members to embody a sense of belonging by appreciating the diversity of life experiences, points of view. Finally, as the group builds in its quality of compassion and enjoyment, it becomes a womb-like experience which supports deep nervous system regulation for all members.
Clinically proven benefits include:
Reduction of stress, anxiety, depression, addiction and trauma
Development of resiliency, emotional regulation and cognitive functioning
Reduction of chronic issues such as sleeping problems, chronic pain
Embodiment of social belonging and meaning
Who is the RC for?

Do you want more meaning, enjoyment and intimacy in your relationships? We believe that this is possible with more of your authenticity. We like to explore this with you in our RC. Let’s get started for a better life!
Silke & Boaz are delighted to offer this 19-session Didactic Resiliency Circle startingJanuary 31st 2024 as an opportunity to heal, grow, stabilize and learn about YOU and experience the exhilaration of honest social engagement in a group dynamic. The didactic inputs will help to bring a professional and conceptual understanding of the group processes, and especially conceived for mental health professionals looking to build their somatic and systems practice in groups.
Here at NeuroSystemics, indeed we are interested in finding out what is meaningful and how to bring that about in your life, but we also utilize the latest understanding of system science and neurobiological process to foster a sense of calm, security and empowerment. A Resiliency Circle is a powerful place of discovery, an invitation to step into the here and now with your full self in a container of safety.
The purpose of an RC is primarily for individuals to experience and integrate a sense of belonging through their nervous system; the group work involves an experiential process by including the missing and often alienated aspects of our being through the safe container held by the therapists and the quality of interaction between group members. As the process unfolds, the RC’s therefore open the door to a palpable sense of peace, intimacy and connection with one another. As the group builds trust and learns to feel strong while sometimes showing vulnerability, the potential for healing, resiliency and awakening is exponential!
Each participant enters the RC with a specific personallized goal, which contributes to the RC being a learning space to experiment and learn new ways of relating to oneself and others. These behavioural goals help satisfy and embody deep developmental needs of for personality and attachment growth.
A didactic Resiliency Circle:
This RC is specifically geared for mental health professionals wanting to learn about the RC facilitation process. In addition to the highly experiential dynamics of this RC, there will be two added components available to participants in order to enhance their embodied understanding of the RC facilitation process:
At the end of each session, the co-facilitators will lead a short didactic period to collectively explore some of the group processes which unfolded in the session. Theoretical models of groupwork (complex systems, nervous system science, humanistic psychotherapy and positive psychology) will be referred to in order to help contextualize these dynamics.
Right after each session, co-facilitators will debrief the session with the group members present, off camera. Group members will be invited to share their reactions to the co-facilitators’ debrief period at the following group session a week later.
Clinically proven benefits include:
Somatic experiencing in group process understanding and embodiment
Relational attachment development through group process
Reduction of stress, anxiety, depression, addiction and trauma
Development of resiliency, emotional regulation and cognitive functioning
Reduction of chronic issues such as sleeping problems, chronic pain

The gift of teaching is considered the greatest gift in the Buddhist tradition. It requires a lot of experience, reflection and feeling to develop a dharmic perspective, a conceptual model of wisdom and strategic proposals for practicing. This translates into completing years of silent meditation retreat, numerous seminars, training in various traditions, and sustained motivation.Do we feel grateful for this offering of teaching? Can an opening of the heart be felt?
Une pratique du coeur/A practice of the heart
Dāna is an invitation to observe our own feelings. Was the teaching received beneficial? What value do we place on what has been received? What matters in practicing generosity is not how much we give, but rather the intention with which we give.A dāna, no matter how small, will never be insignificant if the motivation of generosity that accompanies it is genuine. What does it mean to be generous here and now?
In our societies mainly anchored in capitalist neoliberalism, money has become an end in itself and everything becomes a commodity. The dāna tradition that the Buddha established 2,600 years ago had the function of promoting co-dependence between monastics and laypeople. Lay people provided for the needs of monastics if they considered that the latter taught them the dharma (the teaching of the Buddha) judiciously. There was a relationship of trust, kindness and personal bonds established between them. Monastics received robes, lodgings and food more than money. Money depersonalizes the exchange and gives and receives, using a third currency. Today money is essential, but perhaps it is possible to remember this mainly friendly and warm bond which characterized the supportive relationship between lay people and monastics. Giving/spending money can also be seen as a vote for something. How much do we spend on technology, on entertainment, on what brings us wisdom and kindness? What do we want to support and encourage in our society?

1 or 2-Week Relational Embodiment Residency
What is this Residency?

Why Be More Relationally Embodied?
The quality of our relationships has recently shown to be an important factor for mental health. In school we did not learn how to build strong relationships, how to repair a connection when a rupture occurred, or how to express our needs for safety and emotional support. This residency aims to strengthen our way of engaging in relationships (towards secure attachment patterns) so that we can feel freer to be ourselves with others, and build strong bonds with others and the world. 3 Steps are proposed:

NeuroSystemics metodolojisi

Diğer eğitimlerle karşılaştırıldığında CARE’i ÖZGÜN yapan nedir?
3. Bireyci klinik uygulamanın ötesinde: İyileşmeye yönelik bireysel yaklaşımlara çok fazla vurgu yapılıyor, bu da başkaları olmadan yeterince güçlü olmamız gerektiğini ima ediyor. James Hillman’ın “We’ve Had a Hundred Years of Psychotherapy and the World’s Getting Worse” adlı kitabı, terapinin nasıl tamamen bireyci olduğunu ve toplumsal kültürün etkisini küçümsediğini anlatıyor.

25-session Resiliency Circles with Rebekka Haas and Heath Wilson

Dāna pour/for Monica Antunes
The gift of teaching is considered the greatest gift in the Buddhist tradition. It requires a lot of experience, reflection and feeling to develop a dharmic perspective, a conceptual model of wisdom and strategic proposals for practicing. This translates into completing years of silent meditation retreat, numerous seminars, training in various traditions, and sustained motivation. Do we feel grateful for this offering of teaching? Can an opening of the heart be felt?
Une pratique du coeur/A practice of the heart
Dāna is an invitation to observe our own feelings. Was the teaching received beneficial? What value do we place on what has been received? What matters in practicing generosity is not how much we give, but rather the intention with which we give. A dāna, no matter how small, will never be insignificant if the motivation of generosity that accompanies it is genuine.
