Resiliency Circles

NeuroSystemicsTM is a community-based methodology bridging ancient wisdom traditions, evolutionary neurosciences and systemic understanding to offer an integrative path to resilient healing, passionate living and awakening.

Resiliency Circles (RC) offer a unique environment to experience a safe, enjoyable and educational relational space. Trained professionals hold a compassionate and sensitive attitude to include all the parts of everyone present – orienting towards unconditional acceptance and appreciation. As the process unfolds, the RC’s therefore open the door to a palpable sense of peace, intimacy and connection with one another. As the group builds trust and learns to feel strong while sometimes showing vulnerability, the potential for healing, resiliency and awakening is exponential!

The purpose of an RC is primarily for individuals to experience and integrate a sense of belonging through their nervous system; the group work involves a psychotherapeutic process by including the missing and often alienated aspects of our being through the safe container held by the therapists and the quality of interaction between group members.

Practically, after a short introduction from the therapists, group members are invited to share freely whatever is on their mind/heart and there begins the free association conversation and spontaneous sharing. Each person manifests themselves differently, and the RC enables group members to embody a sense of belonging by appreciating the diversity of life experiences, points of view. Finally, as the group builds in its quality of compassion and enjoyment, it becomes a womb-like experience which supports deep nervous system regulation for all members.

Clinically proven benefits include:

  • Reduction of stress, anxiety, depression, addiction and trauma
  • Development of resiliency, emotional regulation and cognitive functioning
  • Reduction of chronic issues such as sleeping problems, chronic pain
  • Embodiment of social belonging and meaning

NeuroSystemics methodology

NeuroSystemics is an integrative clinical methodology building resiliency and empowerment internally and in relationships. We focus on embodiment approaches in individual,  small group and community practices using a systems framework. It includes bio-affective (somatic), cognitive, relational and neurospiritual practices and uses meta-maps to track our clients’ states and development.

What is it?

A 2-week residency consisting of intensive small-group and whole-group practices, workshops and discussions. We will create as safe a container as possible to enable the emergence of relational insights and attachment resiliency. The immersion format allows for insights from structured experiential sessions to be integrated in relationships during the residency itself. There will be plenty of Open Spaces for residents to  learn, practice and share skills with one another.  The residency includes time and space for you to continue your daily personal work and projects (35-40h/week).

Note: People must be able to attend all daily structured sessions (about 1.5h/day) and a daily period of collective care (1h/day) in order to be accepted in the residency.

Why?

The quality of our relationships accounts among the most important factors for both physical and mental health. In school we did not learn how to build strong relationships, how to repair a connection when a rupture occurred, or how to express our needs for safety and emotional support. This residency aims to strengthen our way of engaging in relationships so that we can feel freer to be ourselves with others, and build strong bonds.

  • Regulate: We will learn to co-regulate, which means we learn to support one another to feel better together. We learn to feel better somatically (in our body), emotionally (feeling well-being), cognitively (experiencing more meaning in life) and socially (feeling more embedded with others).
  • Restore: From this sense of connection, our patterns of dysregulation and dissociation can soften and be released.
  • Respond: As we grow our nervous system capacity and relational skills, we have more space and possibility for new ways of engaging with the world.

The conceptual framework for group sessions stems of psychodynamic and attachment theories as well as social and positive psychology. The NeuroSystemics methodology specifically includes nervous system science to support relational resiliency. We emphasize “neuroceptive safety” which means we specifically attempt to modulate the containment of the group to skilfully face the challenges emerging, and embody the resources developed. For example, we start with a short embodiment practice at the beginning of the session to prime for somatic sensitivity and speaking from a place of experience. As the group builds in its quality of compassion, mutual support and enjoyment, it become a womb-like experience which enables a deep nervous system regulation for the group as a whole.

When is it?

Sunday March 19th @ 5pm until Sunday April 2nd @ 1pm

What Practices are Involved?

  • Workshops
  • Resiliency Circles (RC)
  • Meta-Circles (MC)

  • Soru&Cevap

This new Resiliency Circle (RC) offers a unique environment to experience a safe, enjoyable and educational relational space. Together with about 5 to 8 other individuals, you will embark on a journey toward greater ease in your relationships toward others, increased capacity to handle challenges and most of all a new sense of enjoyment in being with others.

Whether you want to enrich your relationship with others, groups or even the world at large: during this RC you will get the chance to develop all the relational skills you need for living a vibrant and satisfying relational life.

Heath & Bas will facilitate a compassionate and cohering group space, able to include all the parts of everyone present. The purpose of an RC is primarily for individuals to experience and integrate a sense of belonging through their nervous system in a safe social space. The group work involves a refined process of including all aspects of our being, with special appreciation and awareness-raising for those more hidden parts of ourselves we distanced ourselves from when we adapted to our childhood environment. We do this delicate work using our highly calibrated skills in positive psychology, neuro- and systems science, which allows for safe and effective integration.

Practically, after a short introduction from the therapists, group members are invited to share freely whatever is alive in their minds and hearts at that particular moment. There begins the free association conversation as a group through spontaneous sharing and relating to each other. Each person manifests themselves differently, and the RC enables group members to embody a sense of belonging by appreciating the diversity of life experiences and multiple points of view. Finally, as the group develops its quality of compassion, containment and enjoyment, it becomes a deeply nourishing and empowering experience for all members, which supports deep nervous system regulation for all members.

It is this increased capacity on the level of our nervous system — our body, brain and mind — that translates to a higher quality of daily living, especially in relating to others, groups of people and the world around us.

  • Reduction of stress, anxiety, depression, addiction and trauma

This Dharma Talk: “Social Connection for Embodiment”

When we think about meditation, we often associate it a a solitary practice. The Buddha, as described in the ancient teachings (Pali canon), does emphasize spending time alone, in silence and exploring movements and mechanisms of the mind. BUT, he also spent considerable energy to build a strong community with social practices to help practitionners thrive and deepen their meditation. And the good news is that modern neuroscience gives significant evidence to back up the claim that we can go deep inside to the extent that we are held safely in our environment.

By joining this talk you will:

  • Learn about why healthy relationships are essential to meditation
  • Practice 10 minutes of meditation
  • Find out if the  Online Week-End RETREAT in August 5-7 is the next step for your healing and development

Schedule (All times CEST):

  • 7pm: Welcome practice
  • 7:10: Dharma Talk
  • 7:40: Discussion
  • 7:50: August 5-7 Online retreat information
  • 8pm: Close.
